Information we collect
- Account info: name, email, and optional service details you choose to share (branch, years served, unit, general location).
- Profile content: avatar and any bio details you add to your profile.
- Things you post: Reconnect photos and captions, message-board posts, event and business submissions, and contact form messages.
- Basic technical data: standard server logs and minimal analytics to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To run the community features — matching veterans, showing posts and photos, and delivering replies to you.
- To moderate content and keep the community safe.
- To improve the site and fix problems.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Content you post publicly (profile, photos, message-board posts) is visible to other users by design. We rely on trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, and email — they process data on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law.
Cookies & analytics
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and basic, privacy- respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile and your posts at any time from your account. To request full account deletion, email info@usaveteransfirst.com.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 13.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
