As a Vietnam Veteran, you can file a claim with VA for disability benefits, health care, and other services by following a few steps.
Step 1: Gather Required Documents
Collect all necessary documents, including:
- DD-214 (discharge papers)
- Medical records
- Any other evidence supporting your claim
Step 2: Submit Your Claim
You can file your claim in several ways:

- By mail
- In person at a VA Regional Office
